Let's make public infrastructure and digital services usable by all

Usable by All’ (UBA) is an initiative that aims to reform public infrastructure and digital services, so that they can be used independently by people with sensory impairment and mobility issues. We want to create a world where our roadways, schools, transportation hubs, government facilities, factories, offices and places of recreation are easily accessible to people who have special needs. Since digital service are an essential part of our lives, we also want to make digital devices, their operating systems, software applications, websites, web applications and smart phone apps convenient enough so they can be used independently by people having sensory impairment or mobility issues.

presenting the case for UBA

the uba action plan

Our goal is to ensure that public infrastructure and digital services are transformed in order to make them usable by all. And, we intend to achieve this through advocacy, activism and direct involvement.

  1. UBA'S SHORT Term PLANS

Our long term plans are detailed in the UBA Action Plan. For the near future, we have identified the following tasks that need to be completed ASAP.

Getting Established

Incorporate UBA as a non-profit organization (NGO) across one or more countries.

Base Camp and Core Team

Set up head office and form a core team of highly committed individuals.

UBA Constitution

Prepare policy framework and SOPs to guide our present / future actions.

Build a Community

People with sensory impairment / mobility issues are our key stake holders. We want to build an engaged community involving them and people associated with them.

How you can be a part of UBA?

At this juncture we really need to build a corpus of funds in order to be able to initiate our operations. However, you can also help us in many other ways.

This website is currently far from being usable by all. We hope to fix it soon.
